Kitchen Backsplash with Decorative Mural Using Angeles Talavera Mexican Tile

Kitchens for many is considered the most important area of a home. It is the setting where family members and friends gather and share. The use of Mexican tile is not limited to a classic Mexican or Southwest style cosina (kitchen). The tile can very well be used in a contemporary kitchen with high-tech appliances, satisfying today's practical demands.

This modern kithchen's back spash in a Southern California home is decorated using Mexican Talavera tiles from our decorative II, solid colors, and trim & moldings collections. The designer used the 6x6 Angeles Talavera tile framed with a gold yellow rope molding as the main focal point behind the contemporary stove. The rest of the backsplash on both sides of the stove has mainly 4x4 cobalt blue field tile along with various deco Talavera tiles to create an interesting display, and timeless ambiance.
